Correction on Sales Tax information
BladenOnline.com apologizes for linking to the outdated Sales Tax presentation. In addition we apologize for any articles presenting the quarter cent sales tax increase as being approved to reduce property tax during this Primary Election.
Here is the correct Power Point presentation explaining the use of the sales tax, Sales Tax Presentation, if approved for this election cycle. According to the Board of County Commissioners, the sales tax increase on the current ballot will be earmarked for Emergency Services for the county.
The sales tax will not be used to lower property tax as presented during the 2015 election.
