Now that’s some pickin’ and it’ll leave you grinnin’.

The Week 4 record was 16-4, by far and away the best of a mediocre season,

Week 4 record: 16-4 (80%)
Season record: 39-19 (67%)
Prep record: 5-1 last week (20-13 season, 61%)
College record: 11-2 last week (19-5 season, 79%)
Pro record: 0-1 (0%)

EAST BLADEN at MIDWAY: Wyatt Holland and his 38 touchdown passes graduated, but the Raiders still like to air it out with quarterback Casey Culbreth passing for 672 yards and 2 touchdowns on 42 of 70 attempts in four games. He’ll test an East Bladen secondary that has 4 interceptions. Masion Brooks is likely to return to the backfield and defense for the Eagles. That’s good news. Brooks rushed for 284 yards and 3 TDs in 2 1/2 games before missing the last six quarters because of a leg injury. Should be a tight one. Midway 22, East Bladen 14.

WEST BLADEN at CLINTON: The Knights are coming off their first win of the season, a xx decision against East Columbus. However, presuming as we did in Tuesday’s Potato, that Clinton and St. Pauls will beat every other Southeastern AthleticConference team this pick is a gimme. Clinton 42, West Bladen 8.

TEXAS TECH at N.C. STATE: Key non-conference contest for the Wolfpack. Texas Tech is coming off an impressive double overtime win against nationally ranked Houston. N.C. State has won its first two games, including a 55-3 rout of Charleston Southern last week, but the Wolfpack will need to improve its performance against the Red Raiders. N.C. State 27, Texas Tech 24.

CAMPBELL at EAST CAROLINA: Did you know that Campbell leads the series 3-1. Of course, this is the first meeting in 83 years so it’s been a while. Folks in Dowdy-Ficklen should have plenty to celebrate. East Carolina 45, Campbell 10.

CAROLINA at NEW YORK GIANTS: Yes, the Panthers could have handled the final two minutes better in their season-opening 26-24 loss to Cleveland. Yes, the officials made two mistakes on Cleveland’s game-winning drive that gave the Browns’ Cade York a chance to kick a 58-yard field goal. However, there were some good signs for the Panthers in the fourth quarter. Carolina 24, NY Giants 20.

FRIDAY’S PICK TO CLICK

Aaron Judge will blast home run No. 58 because, well, that’s what Aaron Judge does. The New York Yankees slugger hasn’t batted against Milwaukee’s Adrian Houser, but that won’t make any difference. The pitcher doesn’t matter when you’re Aaron Judge.

THURSDAY’S PICK: Jonquel Jones will have a double-double in helping Connecticut avoid a sweep by Las Vegas in the WNBA Finals. RESULTS: Jones scored a team-high 20 points, had 5 rebounds, 4 assists and a steal as the Sun won 105-76.
