Watch out merchants, fake money has been handed out. Over the weekend someone was passing counterfeit $50 bills, according to the Elizabethtown Police Department’s Facebook page.
The counterfeit tender looks and feels real, and passes as good bills when marked with a pen. The bills have a light colored ink and all, so far, have the same serial #MB14412075B.
Please call the Elizabethtown Police Department at 910-862-3125 if you can identify the person in the photo in reference to questioning related to the counterfeit bills.
