The County of Bladen offices will be closed on Friday, November 11, 2022, in observance of Veterans Day. Director of Information Sheila Nance announced last week that “Bladen County facilities will be bathed in green light on the evening of Monday, November 7 – Sunday, November 13 to show appreciation and support for our veterans.”

Next week the Bladen County Board of Commissioners’ have a scheduled meeting. According to Clerk to the Board, Maria C. Edwards, NCCCC, the Board meeting will be held on Monday, November 14, 2022, and will begin at 6:30 pm. It will be held in the Commissioners’ Room, located on the lower level of the Bladen County Courthouse, 106 East Broad Street, Elizabethtown.

During the meeting, Star Communications Representatives, Vice President of Marketing and Customer Operations Kyle Randleman, and Plant Manager Johnny Eason will provide information about the Completing Access to Broadband (CAB) Proposed Project.

Commissioners will also hear from Mr. Kip McClary about a proposed Water Tap Fee schedule.
