The American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) allocation for Bladen County is $6,355,865.

The US Department of Treasury has established eligible uses for this funding and published an Interim Final Rule. Eligible uses for ARPA funds by counties include supporting public health expenditures; addressing the negative economic impacts of the pandemic; providing premium pay for essential workers and investing in water, sewer and broadband infrastructure.

The Bladen County Board of Commissioners welcomes input from citizens as plans are developed for use of ARPA funds. Comments may be submitted to publiccomments@bladenco.org. Residents may also address the board by attending the September 20, 2021 Special meeting scheduled for 5:00pm.

The meeting will be held in the Commissioners’ Room, located on the lower level of the Bladen County Courthouse, 106 East Broad Street, Elizabethtown, NC.
