img_4317County officials urge residents to stay in place and do not travel unless necessary due to roads being flooded and washed out according to Greg Martin, County Manager. Cell phone services have been affected because the towers are running on back energy sources according Jeff Singletary with the Bladen County Sheriff’s Department. 

There is still power outages and water outages in Bladen County. Sheriff McVicker said they are taking the helicopter up to assess the damage in Bladen County. According to McVicker, the Tar Heel side of the county seems to have the most damage.

The two fatalities reported yesterday from Rosindale Road have been the only two fatalities reported due to conditions of the hurricane. 

McVicker also stated the court house will be closed tomorrow. The wastes sites are closed in Bladen County on Sunday, October 9th. More information will be published as soon as it becomes available.
