A crash on NC 41 West in the vicinity of Bladen Community College at about 7:36 a.m. sent at least one person to the hospital on Monday.

According to North Carolina Highway Patrol Troop J. P. Weissinger a vehicle operated by Donald Blake Badson was traveling east on NC 41 near the intersection NC 410 when he crossed the centerline.

Scott Moul was operating his vehicle traveling west on NC 41 and ran off the road to the right in attempt to avoid a collision with Badson’s vehicle.

Trooper Weissginer said Badons’ vehicle struck Moul’s vehicle in the left driver’s side.

Badson was airlifted to New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington and his passenger was transported to Cape Fear Valley-Bladen County Hospital. Trooper Weissinger did not provide the name of passenger in Badson’s vehicle.

According to Trooper Weissinger, Badson was charged with driving left of center.
