Some of the Bladen County Commissioners were in shock tonight at their regular meeting with the resignation of Cris Harrleson, the Bladen County Health and Human Services Director.
Harrelson, who has been the director of Bladen County Health and Human Services for two years announced his last day working in Bladen County will be October 9th. Harrelson said, “I want to thank the board for your support during my time as the Director.”
Commissioner Dr. Blanks seemed to be the most vocal commissioner about the news. She said, “I admire your leadership and we don’t want you to leave.”
Commissioner Charles Ray Peterson said, “You have certainly served our county well. We wish you the best.”
Harrelson said his new position will be the Health Director for Brunswick County. His first day in his new position will be October 12th according to Harrelson.
