CLINTON – Three Bladen runners – 2 from East Bladen, 1 from West – claimed the top 3 spots Wednesday in the Southeastern Athletic Conference boys cross country race, and a pair of West Bladen girls were 6th and 7th in the girls meet.

East Bladen’s Johnny Alvarado (pictured above, right) won the boys race with a time of 19 minutes, 37 seconds. West Bladen’s Demon’tre Love (pictured, center) finished 2nd, and East Bladen’s Jacob Knuth (pictured, left) placed third. It was Alvarado’s 2nd straight victory in a SAC-7 meet.

West Bladen’s Lainey Autry finished 6th in the girls race, and teammate Kirsten Warrick was right behind her in 7th place.

East Bladen’s boys tied with St Pauls for first place in the boys meet with 50 points each. The Eagles won the split times tiebreaker by 6 seconds.

Midway won the girls meet with 25 points, and Midway’s Hailey Hope finished 1st with a time of 26 minutes. East Bladen’s girls placed 4th behind Red Springs and Clinton with 132 points.
