RED SPRINGS- East Bladen’s Jacob Knuth finished 3rd, and West Bladen’s Demon’tre Love placed 5th in the boys race in Wednesday’s Southeastern Athletic Conference meet, and West Bladen’s Lainey Autry took 9th place in the girls race.
Knuth completed the course in 19 minutes, 26 seconds. Love posted a time of 21 minutes, 21 seconds to cop 5th place honors. East Bladen’s Conner Padrick claimed 13th place with a time of 24 minutes, 50 seconds.

East Bladen’s Andrew Lin was 31st (32:47), and West Bladen’s Jaiden Ward was 35th (37:27).
Autry recorded a time of 30 minutes, 12 seconds to take 9th place in the girls race. . Teammate Kirsten Warwick posted a time of 31 minutes, 36 seconds and claimed 11th place. Sophomore Brookee Singletary finished 15th with a time of 32:58.
Other West Bladen runners included: junior Kaden Thurman, 18th (33:31); Violet Allen, 19th (33:40); Olivia Allen, 20th (33:42). East Bladen’s Brianna Phillips took 35th place (44:45).
Coach Brian McCleney’s Knights and Coach Wilson Bolden’s Eagles will travel to Red Springs again next Wednesday for their next SAC meet.
