The 39th Annual White Lake Water Festival officially began on Friday evening, May 19, with a cruise-in and a street dance.
Helen Holt, a Meteorologist with Channel 3, was at White Lake a large part of the day for a spot light on the local television station.
About 15 vehicles showed up for the cruise-in while folks danced to the Southern Touch Band.
Tiina Mundy, Elizabethtown – White Lake Chamber of Commerce President said, “We have a variety of things going on at this year’s event.” She expects a large crowd tomorrow at the festival.
She explained, “There will be bands under two tents, arts, crafts, a car show, a tractor pull, wrestlers and more. The weather makes it fun to go and enjoy, too.”
Mundy announced Carolyn and Gilbert Cain from Ammon as the winner of the cruise-in. The couple said the car is very rare; it’s a 1969 Plymouth Cyclone 428 Cobra Jet. There are only a few left in the United States, according to the Cains.
