The annual Cry Out America event was held on Monday, Oct. 23rd, in Bladen County Superior Court Room after being postponed for almost one month.

Pam Ward, one of the event’s organizers, offered the opening prayer and Kynslie Kinlaw led the Pledge of Allegiance. Hakeem Brown sang a stirring rendition of God Bless America. The names of Bladen County’s Fallen Heroes were read aloud to those in attendance.

Veterans, first responders and law enforcement, elected officials and other guests were recognized.

Oliver Gause, with the VFW, paused to recognize Bladen County’s veterans and their sacrifices. He asked for a moment of silence in their honor.

Pastor Bill Tatum reminded those present of God’s love for America and Rev. Rachel Mitchell spoke of God’s love for Bladen County. Rev. Larry Hayes spoke of Bladen County’s love for God.

“Bladen County loves God and God loves Bladen County,” Said Rev. Hayes.

Pastors also offering prayer are Rev. Louie Boykin and Rev. Edwin Ferguson.
