Clarkton School of Discovery held its Annual Induction Ceremony to the National Junior Beta Club on October 17, 2018.Students are inducted into this prestigious group based on high academic performance. The Principal of CSD, Mrs. Stephanie Norris, along with Beta Sponsors, Mrs. Nancy Clark, Ms. Jennifer Marlowe, Mrs. Sheila Nance, Mrs. Linda Parnell, and Mrs. Brenda Storms, welcomed 22 new members.

The CSD Beta Club is in preparation now for The North Carolina Junior Beta Club Convention, which is held in Greensboro, NC in February. Currently, CSD student Cate DeVane holds the office of State Secretary. CSD hopes to continue its tradition of excellence in the plethora of competitions hosted at this annual convention.
