Elizabethtown, NC – Seven Oaks Supply Company one of the custodial supply vendors to Bladen County Schools, has awarded four schools for their commitment to high quality cleanliness for the 2014-2015 school year.

The “Excellence in Custodial Services Award” is awarded to the custodial staff of three schools, Bladenboro Primary School, Elizabethtown Primary and Plain View Primary.

These schools received this award based on the average score of several custodial assessments performed by a Seven Oaks representative throughout the 2014-15 school year. These schools consistently scored the highest on the assessments throughout the year.

The assessments measure performance on a minimum of twenty-nine different tasks or areas specific to the custodial profession. Special emphasis is placed on the exterior appearance, floor care, soil and dust removal, and restroom cleaning. Assessments are performed periodically throughout the year, and are essentially a “snap-shot” of the school’s overall appearance and cleanliness. The scoring instrument used has been created and revised over many years by Seven Oaks Supply Company.

The “Commitment to Quality” is awarded to the custodial staff of West Bladen High School. This award recognizes the high quality of work, over-the-top effort, and dedication of the custodial staff to caring for a large taxpayer investment, in the school facility itself. It also indicates that the staff is highly competent in several important tasks that are essential to having a clean facility.

Professional custodians strive to maintain a safe and healthy learning environment for students. This environment promotes pride in the school, in the occupants (i.e. students and staff) of the school, and the local community.
