FUNCTION:
Assist customers in the office and on the telephone, by explaining all services, offerings, and products in a knowledgeable and pleasing manner to increase and promote sales.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist customers with the promotion, sale, demonstration, and establishment of service.
• Maintain knowledge of all policy and procedural changes in services offered.
• Remain knowledgeable and educate the customer in determining which services provided by Star Communications are available at their location.
• Process Local Number Portability requests.
• Employee must be knowledgeable in the sale, explanation, and implementation of all of Star Communications services.
• Assist customers in the purchase/lease/replacement/return of equipment.
• Assist customers in the office and on the telephone with payment processing and assist with billing issues.
• Generate service orders which include, new customer order, transfer from one location to another, address change, name change, program changes, upgrades, adding/deleting features, bundled services, number changes, directory listing changes, toll block additions/deletions, reconnects, permanent/non-pay disconnects, etc. Complete required forms and contracts.
• Enroll subscribers in Lifeline and ACP programs.
• Remain familiar in scheduling orders for Service Technicians.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school degree or equivalent and one year of post-high school academic training in business administration, office technology, or related criteria is required. Mathematical proficiency is required.

Secretarial, clerical, and general office skills and experience in a business office or environment are required. Bilingual abilities are a plus.
