The Battle of Elizabethtown Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will be highlighting ‘United States Constitution Week’ with a special event on Thursday, September 17th at 4 p.m.
Over 2025 bells will be ringing all over the United States precisely at 4 p.m. Bladen County 4-H club members will take turns ringing the local bell, located at the northeast corner of the Bladen County Courthouse lawn, until it has rung 228 times.
Our forefathers wrote and signed the Constitution 228 years ago, and DAR wants to make sure the occasion is properly documented during the week of September 17th through the 23rd..
The public is invited to attend ‘The Ringing Of The Bell.’
