Darius Benson (D.B.) Tyler: DOB 6-18-42 DOD 12-14-16, 74, of Elizabethtown, NC entered into eternal rest on December 14, 2016 at 4:02 a.m. at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton.
He is proceeded in death by his parents: Joseph and Vacola Tyler, siblings: Charlotte Prince, Jean Packer, Sandra Lewis, Patty Briley, Jimmy Tyler and Robert Tyler, grandson: Joey Bryant.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sue W Tyler, five children: Jeffery L Tyler and wife Kim of Elizabethtown, Angela T Shaw and husband David of Dublin, Darria L Tyler of Bladenboro, Kimberly T Salmon and husband Mike of Elizabethtown and Darius Benson (Ben) Tyler, Jr and wife Tonya of Elizabethtown, 13 grandchildren: Jeffery L Tyler II, Summer Tyler, Kimmie Shaw, Landon Shaw, Olivia Shaw, Justin Norris, Andrew Norris, Sawyer Norris, Brady Norris, Kelsei Bryant and husband Korey, Leigh Hudgins and husband Scottie, Christian Tyler and Cameron Tyler, 3 great-grandchildren: Braylon Bryant, Julian Bryant and Abry Hudgins. Siblings: Linda Davis of Clarkton, Betty Ward of Clarendon, Mona Squires of Kelly and Johnny Tyler of Bladenboro.
Visitation with the family will be Friday, December 16, 2016 at Center Road Baptist Church in Bladenboro at 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. A memorial service will begin immediately following the visitation at 6 p.m. at the church.
