Trooper RL Walker of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol reported an accident that occurred on Wednesday, May 27, that left one person dead and two severely injured.

Teresa Lauderback,36 from Lumberton NC was involved in a car crash near the intersection of Hwy 41 and Marsh Rd near the Bladen and Robeson county line.

Lauderback was driving a 2003 Chevrolet truck and is accused of exceeding the speed limit. Her truck hydroplaned, crossing the centerline, striking a black 2017 Honda Civic driven by Michael Guyton, 63 from Elizabethtown NC. Guyton was accompanied by passenger Elizabeth Bordeaux, from Elizabethtown NC.

It was reported that Lauderback was transported to a Southeastern Regional Hospital in Lumberton with a few injuries, which may include a broken pelvis.

She was charged with driving while license revoked, exceeding a safe speed and misdemeanor death by vehicle.

Guyton was transported to a hospital and is in critical condition. Bordeaux did not survive her injuries.  View her obituary here:
