Dixie Youth BaseballCLARKTON- Elizabethtown won the District 2 Dixie Youth Baseball Coach-Pitch Supplemental Tournament Championship Thursday night with a 10-4 victory over Whiteville in the title game.

Elizabethtown completed the tournament with a perfect 3-0 record.

The winners took charge with a 7-run third-inning. Walker Clifton led off with a single, and Fox Sutton slammed a double. Aiden Williams hammered a double that scored Walker Clifton and Sutton. Jackson Hair smacked a single that scored Williams.

Cooper Long belted a single, and Omar Powell laced a single. DeVance Tatum ripped a double that scored Long, and J. D. McArthur smashed a double that scored Powell and Tatum.

Elizabethtown pulled away with 3 more runs in the fourth inning. Walker Clifton and Sutton connected for one-out singles. Hair drilled a double that scored Walker Clifton and Sutton, and Long and Powell followed with singles that brought home Hair.

Hair and Sutton both batted 2-2 with a double each to lead the Elizabethtown hitters. Walker Clifton and Long also finished 2-2 at the plate. McArthur walloped the 2 doubles and batted 2-3. Cade Rogers, Powell and Wilson Clifton all finished 2-3 at the plate.

Williams slapped a double, and Tatum, Niyah Wooten, and Seth Faircloth added one hit each to the 20-hit Elizabethtown attack.
