RIEGELWOOD – Elizabethtown won the District 2 Dixie Youth Majors Supplemental Championship Tuesday with a 14-6 victory over Columbus County in the title game.
Hunter Smith walloped a 3-run homer and a double to lead the Elizabethtown hitters. Teammate Carson Gooden hammered a pair of doubles, and Britt Sasser also contributed 2 hits to the winners ten-hit attack.
Zee Lewis, Jake Futrell, Lee Barnes and Andrew Horne belted one hit each for Elizabethtown.
Horne, Smith and Gooden handled the pitching duties for Elizabethtown in the championship game.
