Dixie Youth BaseballELIZABETHTOWN –Shy Ratliff and Joe Johnson combined to pitch a no-hitter Saturday as Bladen County defeated South Columbus in the opening round of the District 2 Dixie Youth Baseball Majors Tournament.

Ratliff struck out seven and walked two in 5.1 innings, and Johnson relieved her in the sixth inning to record the final two outs.

Ratliff, Andre Moore and Mason Brooks connected for one hit each to lead the Bladen County attack.

With the victory Bladen County received a bye Sunday and will play again at 8 p.m. Monday.
