ELIZABETHTOWN – Elizabethtown won the District 9 Majors Supplemental Tournament Championship Tuesday night with a 12-0 victory over West Robeson National.

K. J. Brown pitched a one-hitter and struck out 9 batters to pick up his second win of the tournament for Elizabethtown. Elizabethtown pitching did not give up a run in the tournament, and the champs outscored their opponents 32-0 in their 3 games winning by scores of 10-0, 10-0 and 12-0.

Malcolm Bolden led off the game with a single, and Elijah Crabtree drilled a double to left-centerfield. Elijah Bullard hammered a double to right-centerfield that scored Bolden and Crabtree.

Brown reached base on an error, and Ryan Johnson knocked in Bullard with a double to right field. Carson Gooden’s fielder’s choice plated Brown, and Walker Ward smashed a double to right-centerfield that scored Ryan Johnson for a 5-0 Elizabethtown lead.

Nathan Howell drew a 2-out walk in the Elizabethtown second, and Bolden walloped a 2-run home run over the left-centerfield fence to stretch the lead to 7-0.

Bullard walked, Brown belted a single to centerfield and Ryan Johnson reached base on an error to begin the Elizabethtown third inning. Ward laced a single to centerfield that scored Bullard.

Zamar Lewis cracked a single to right field that scored Brown, and Bolden’s infield hit plated Ryan Johnson and pushed the lead to 10-0.

Bullard walloped a home run over the right field fence to begin the Elizabethtown fourth. Ryan Johnson pounded a double to right-centerfield, and Gooden cracked a single. Ward’s fielder’s choice brought home Ryan Johnson and padded the lead to 12-0.

The Elizabethtown defense turned their fourth double play of the tournament in the second inning as shortstop Bolden fielded a grounder and flipped to second baseman Crabtree who fired the ball on to first baseman Ryan Johnson.

Bolden batted 3-3 with a home run, a double, 3 runs batted in and 2 runs scored. Bullard finished 2-2 at the plate with a home run, a double, 3 rbi’s and 3 runs scored. Ryan Johnson batted 2-3 with 2 doubles, an rbi and 3 runs scored.

Ward finished 2-3 at the plate with a double and 3 rbi’s. Crabtree doubled and scored a run. Brown singled and scored 3 runs. Gooden and Lewis added one hit and one rbi each.
