BaseballBrady Hollingsworth and Grayson Clark combined to pitch a no-hitter and strike-out 10 batters Monday night to lead the Tigers to a 6-0 Bladen County Dixie Boys Baseball victory over the Hurricanes at County Park.

Hollingsworth worked the first five innings on the mound to pick up the victory for the Tigers striking out eight. Clark struck out two in his two innings on the hill.

Alex Strange reached base on a 2-base error, 2-out error in the second inning and was the only Hurricane baserunner in the game.

The Tigers grabbed the early lead with a 5-run first-inning. Mahki Cromartie and Drew Sholar drew walks to start the inning, and Hollingsworth and Rasean McKoy connected for run-scoring singles that scored Cromartie and Sholar.

Tyler Hill followed with a drive to centerfield and an error on the play scored Hollingsworth and McKoy. Hill later scored the fifth run of the inning.

Hill smacked a lead-off single in the Tiger fourth inning and raced home when Wes Lambeth hammered a triple for the sixth Tiger run.

Hollingsworth batted 2-3 to lead the Tiger hitters. Lambeth clobbered the triple, and Sholar, McKoy, and Hill connected for one hit each.

Kaiden Stanley struck out ten batters in his 5.1 innings on the hill for the Hurricanes. Stanley allowed 6 hits, 3 walks and 6 runs. Young retired 4 of 5 batters in 1.1 innings allowing only one hit batter to reach base.
