West Bladen High School LogoDUBLIN – West Bladen split a Dixie Pre-Majors Baseball double-header with East Columbus Thursday night dropping the first game by a 4-2 margin before rallying to take the second game 9-3.

Three Knight errors led to a trio of East Columbus runs in the top of the first. West Bladen answered with 2 runs in the home first. Dalton Pait walked, and Logan West belted a single. Catcher Jake Butler knocked both runners in with a single that sliced the Gator lead to 3-2.

West finished with 2 hits in the first game to lead the Knight hitters. Trey Storms pitched all 5 innings for West Bladen.

The Gators jumped in front 2-0 in the nightcap, but the Knights rallied with a run in the first then exploded for 6 runs in the second. East Columbus narrowed the gap to 7-3 before the Knights tacked on 2 more runs in the home third.

West slammed a pair of doubles to lead the Knight hitters. Jonathan Robinson clobbered a double to the leftfield fence, and Dalton Pait added a pair of hits.

Colby White pitched the first 4 innings to pick up the win for the Knights. West pitched the fifth inning.

Coach Kim Cain’s Knights finished their summer league schedule with a 7-3 record.
