ELIZABETHTOWN – Freddy Wooten slugged 2 home runs and Raymond Autry hammered one to lead the Elizabethtown Majors All-Stars to a 13-2 victory over Bladen County in Practice Game action Saturday.

Elizabethtown jumped in front with 3 runs in the first inning as Ayden Piland and Wooten drew walks, and Autry walloped a 3-run homer over the leftfield fence.

Bladen County answered with a first-inning run as Davion Graham and Mariah “Chick” Smith belted singles, and Nazire Smith and Braylon Williams drew walks to force in a run.

Elizabethtown stretched the lead to 6-1 in the third inning. Chase Starkloff walked and raced home when Garrett Melvin slammed a double off the leftfield fence. Melvin darted home on a throwing error, before Wooten blasted a home run over the left-centerfield fence.

Bladen County scored a run in the third as Marlan Davis laced a single, advanced on a wild pitch and scored on Mariah Smith’s fielder’s choice.

Elizabethtown broke the game open with 7 runs in the fourth inning. Coleman Tatum cracked a single, and Garrison Tatum smashed a double. Victor Campbell knocked in both Tatum brothers with a single.

Starkloff swatted a double that drove in Campbell, and Melvin reached base on an error that scored Starkloff. After Piland reached base, Wooten drilled a 3-run homer over the leftfield fence.

Wooten batted 2-2 with the 2 homers, 4 runs batted in and 3 runs scored. Autry had the 3-run homer. Melvin doubled in a run and scored one. Piland scored twice.

Garrison Tatum doubled, and Campbell delivered the 2-run single. Coleman Tatum singled and scored, and Starkloff doubled in a run and scored twice.

Davis, Graham, Mariah Smith, Devon Strange, and Kaiden Stanley connected for one hit each for Bladen County. Davis and Graham scored one run each, and Williams and Mariah Smith drove in runs.
