LUMBERTON – Ryan Johnson slugged a solo home run to lead Elizabethtown Supplemental to a 6-4 victory over West Robeson Saturday in the Dixie Youth Baseball Practice Games at Northeast Park.

Johnson walloped a drive over the right-centerfield fence leading off the sixth inning. Zamar Lewis slammed a double and scored an insurance run on an error to stretch the Elizabethtown lead to 6-4.

The winners scored a run in the first inning as Elijah Crabtree cracked a single, and Elijah Bullard knocked him in with a single.

The winners tacked on 3 more runs in the second inning. Lewis reached base on an error, and K. J. Brown smacked a single. Nathan Howell drew a walk, and Lewis, Brown and Howell scored runs in the inning.

Crabtree, Bullard, Ryan Johnson, Lewis and Brown connected for one hit each for the winners.

In their second game Saturday, the Elizabethtown supplemental team rolled past Whiteville 13-1.
