HAMPSTEAD, NC — Dr. Kyle Horton, candidate for U.S. House of Representatives (NC-07), will continue her Town Hall Series in Pender County on Thursday, August 2nd, from 6 PM until 8 PM. This is the 12th Town Hall that Dr. Kyle has hosted to her opponent’s single, in-person Town Hall this election cycle.
“The citizens of Pender County deserve leaders who will put country over party — who will stand up to the big polluters and put hardworking families first,” Dr. Kyle said. “I will fight to clean our water and protect our coast because our oceans should never be for sale to the highest oil and gas bidder. We need leaders who will fight for an economy that rewards hard work and that protects jobs in clean industries like fishing, recreation and tourism.”
Dr. Kyle hosts these events because of a belief in open, transparent governance. She proudly took a Town Hall pledge to continue hosting public forums throughout her tenure as the first Congresswoman representing the 7th Congressional District. She is guided by the needs of the hardworking families of Eastern NC — not by simple party loyalty or the demands of big money donors and lobbyists.
“My opponent is a career politician who has rubber stamped an extremist agenda that’s risking jobs, healthcare and even clean drinking water,” Dr. Kyle said. “I’m committed to showing up for the citizens of the 7th Congressional District, who deserve real representation from those who will listen and deliver on policies that protect the health and well-being of families.”
The Pender County Town Hall is free and open to the public. In previous town halls, Dr. Kyle has spoken with constituents about the opioid crisis, support for our veterans, offshore drilling, job creation and quality healthcare.
