Harris came within 134 votes of defeating Incumbent Pittenger in 2016
Charlotte, NC – Dr. Mark Harris sent the following video to thousands of supporters across North Carolina today officially announcing his intention to seek the Republican nomination:
Harris previously ran for the Republican nomination for the 9th Congressional District in the special primary election in June of 2016. Despite being outspent by a greater than 3 to 1 margin, Harris came within 134 votes of beating the incumbent Congressman, Robert Pittenger, in a three-way race.
