Retired Bladen County School’s administrator Dr. Patricia Faulk will provide the commencement address for the high school diploma and college readiness graduation service on Tuesday, May 15, at 5:30 P.M. in the college auditorium. Dr. Faulk completed an associate’s degree in general education at Bladen Community College before receiving both bachelor and master degrees in education from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Several years later, she received her doctoral degree from Nova Southeastern University.

In 1977, Dr. Faulk joined Bladen County Schools as a teacher and eventually served as an assistant principal, principal, and personnel administrator. She has worked at Bladen Community College as a part-time instructor in the early childhood education program. She is a member of and has served as president for the North Carolina Retired School Personnel organization. She is on the Board of Directors for Bladen County Smart Start, and is a member of the Whiteville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.

Dr. Faulk is a member of Who’s Who among Executives and Professionals. She received the Bladen County Smart Start Dedicated Service award, the Bladen County Schools Outstanding Service award, the North Carolina Personnel Administrators Dedicated and Outstanding Service Recognition award, and is a member of the North Carolina Order of the Long Leaf Pine. The commencement for high school diploma and college readiness graduates celebrates the success of students who may now advance into higher education programs.
