Dublin, NC—The spirit of community and worship is set to rise as Dublin First Baptist Church (DFBC) opens its doors for the Bladen Baptist Association‘s “Discipleship Now Weekend,” aimed at empowering the Bladen County youth. Scheduled for April 12-13, 2024, this event promises a transformative two-day journey of faith, fellowship, and fun, all crafted for teens from 6th to 12th grade.
The weekend kicks off on Friday, April 12th, with an evening session from 7 pm to 9 pm, setting the tone with worship and an inspirational talk from the first of several speakers. Following the session, the church’s doors remain open for an hour of open gym and games, providing a perfect blend of reflection and recreation.
The highlight of the weekend is set to unfold on Saturday, April 13th, starting at noon and culminating in the much-anticipated “For the Glory of God Tour” – a worship concert led by Justin Warren. This special event calls for harmony and worship, inviting attendees to raise their voices in a collective expression of faith.
The day is structured to nourish both the soul and the body, with worship sessions interlaced with group discussions, breakouts, and games. The sessions, led by a series of speakers, are designed to ignite conversations and deepen the youth’s understanding of faith.
Beyond the spiritual sessions, the event planners have not forgotten the importance of leisure and camaraderie. Participants will have ample opportunities to engage in games and enjoy open gym sessions, with a break for dinner to refuel before the worship concert.
The “Discipleship Now Weekend” is a spiritual retreat and a testament to the church’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of faithful leaders. With a nominal fee of $10 per student, the event ensures inclusivity and encourages wide participation.
As the DFBC prepares to host this remarkable weekend, the sense of anticipation is palpable among the youth and church members alike. It is more than an event; it’s a chance to experience growth, worship, and unity, all within the comforting embrace of a community that believes in the strength of its young believers.
For the young hearts seeking direction, for the voices yearning to be heard, and for the spirits eager to soar – this is an invitation to join a gathering that could very well shape the essence of their faith for years to come. DFBC is located at 7275 Albert Street in Dublin, NC 28332.
