TABOR CITY – Riegelwood defeated Bladen County 10-4 Friday night in the opening round of the Diamond Youth Baseball District 2 AA (Coach Pitch) Tournament.
Bladen County will play at noon Saturday in an elimination game.
Bladen County led 2-0 early and tied the game 4-4 in the 2nd inning before Riegelwood pulled away.
For Bladen County: Reid Butler singled and scored a run; Boyce Allen tripled, scored a run and had 1 run batted in; Lawson Walters batted 2-for-4 with an RBI; Major Bostic singled and scored a run; Greyson Babson batted 2-for-2; Noah Taylor scored a run; Cooper White singled and had 1 RBI; Julian singled and had 1 RBI.
