CLARKTON – Whiteville defeated Elizabethtown 16-4 Monday night in the Dixie Youth Baseball District 2 Majors Supplemental Tournament. Elizabethtown will play Columbus County on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in an elimination game.
Elizabethtown scored two runs in the first inning. Cole Butler sliced a double to leftfield, and Ryan Dove belted a single. Both Butler and Dove scored.

Collin King, Isaiah Lee, Gabe Cashwell and Kewone Maynor drew walks in the Elizabethtown third inning. King and Cashwell scored runs. Butler walloped a triple to centerfield that scored Cashwell.
Butler batted 2-for-2 with a double, a triple, a run scored and a run batted in to lead the Elizabethtown hitters. Dove and Colton Daly smacked singles, and Dove, King and Cashwell scored runs.
