The Dixie Youth Baseball District 2 Majors Tournament and Supplemental Majors Tournament will begin Saturday at the Clarkton DYB Complex and continue daily through Wednesday.
If an extra game is needed to decide either of the 5-team double-elimination tournaments, it will be played on Thursday, July 4.
The Majors tournament that will advance the top two finishers to the State Tournament begins at 12 noon Saturday with South Columbus battling Riegelwood followed by Whiteville vs. Columbus County. Bladen County received a bye and will play the South Columbus/Riegelwood winner at 3 p.m. Sunday.
Bladen County kicks off the Supplemental Majors Tournament with a game at 11 a.m. Saturday against Whiteville. Elizabethtown will play Columbus County in Saturday’s second supplemental game at 1 p.m.
