East Arcadia School competed in the 2016 Region 4/Sandhills Middle School Battle of the Books Competition on Thursday, April 7. This competition was held at the Sampson County Agri-Exposition Center in Clinton, North Carolina. East Arcadia represented Bladen County Schools with dignity, preparedness and pride. Ultimately, Cumberland County was the winner and will advance to the State Battle of the Books Competition. We are proud of East Arcadia School and all of their hard work. We look forward to next year’s competition.
We would like to congratulate all team members and coaches for your advancement to this level of competition. Members of the Regional Battle of the Books Middle School team for East Arcadia were: Charles Dixon, Tamara Grissett, Cheyanne Jacobs, Cody Long, Charlene Mota-Huerta, Ashanti Munn-Goins, Sterling Thomas, Kayla Todd and Cebree White. The Principal of East Arcadia School is Demetrice Jones. Coaches for this outstanding team are Celeste Lennon and Wanda Daniels.
