East Arcadia Principal, Demetrice Johnson Jones, announced she was asked to nominate a teacher for a Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States award. She said, “Early in the school year I was given the opportunity by the VFW to nominate an outstanding teacher.”
Ms. Jones continued, “There was no hesitation in my part to nominate Ms Celeste Lennon.”
The honored teacher, Ms. Lennon, was presented with the National Citizenship Education Teacher Post Recognition Award by the VFW for promoting citizenship education in her classroom and school.
