East Bladen’s Eagles completed all of their athletic contests ejection free during the 2014-2015 school year.
The Eagles were one of 139 NCHSAA member schools to be ejection free for the year. The 139 total represents 34.5 per cent of the NCHSAA membership total of 403.
The guidelines record ejections for unsportsmanlike acts such as fighting, taunting, profanity, obscene gestures or disrespectfully addressing or contacting officials.
All schools with no ejections for the year received a certificate of recognition at the NCHSAA regional meetings across the state. North Carolina Farm Bureau sponsors this as part of its initiative with the NCHSAA.
East Bladen was one of six ejection free in Region 4. The others were Fairmont, St. Pauls, Lee County, Richmond Senior and E. E. Smith.
