On Monday, September 25, 2017, East Bladen High School Athletic Director and NCHSAA Board Member Patty Evers, along with Assistant Principal Heather Thompson, accepted the school recognition for being an ejection free school during the North Carolina High School Athletic Association Region 4 meeting in Fayetteville.

East Bladen was one of eight schools out of the 36 schools in Region 4 to receive this honor for the 2016-2017 school year. The recognition marks the third consecutive year East Bladen athletes and coaches have remained ejection free.
