East Bladen’s men’s soccer team received the No. 7 seed in the NCHSAA Class 2A Eastern Play-offs. Coach Jay Raynor’s Eagles, now 17-1-2, will host No. 26 seed Trinity (13-8) in the opening round Saturday at 5 p.m.
If the Eagles win, they could possibly face former Four County Conference foe Wallace-Rose Hill in the second round. The Eagles and Bulldogs battled to a 2-2 tie back on August 23rd.
If East Bladen reaches the third round, a match-up with another former Four County foe, No. 2 seed Clinton, is possible. The Dark Horses eliminated the Eagles in the second round of last season’s play-offs.
St. Pauls and West Columbus were the only other Three Rivers Conference teams to receive play-off bids this season. St. Pauls received the No. 16 Class 2A seed and will host East Montgomery in the first round.
West Columbus received the No. 24 Class 1A seed and will travel to Franklin Academy for a first round game.
