East Bladen’s Ja’Tyra Moore-Peterson and Patience Ward have both received All-District recognition from the North Carolina Basketball Coaches Association.

Moore-Peterson, a 5-9 junior, was named to the NCBCA All-District 4 First Team, while Ward, a 5-10 sophmore, was selected to the All-District 4 Third Team. The talented duo led Coach Patty Evers’ Lady Eagles to the Three Rivers Conference regular season and tournament championships and a 27-2 overall record.

Moore-Peterson led the Eagles with 15.9 points and 4.4 assists per game and also contributed 6 rebounds, and 2.7 steals per game. The 5-9 guard reached the 1,000-point milestone in her East Bladen career and has now scored 1,197 points.

Ward fired in 15.7 points and led the team in rebounds (8.8) and steals (4.6) per game. Ward scored 20-points or more in 8 different games including a season-high 26 points in the Three Rivers Tournament championship game.
