East Bladen Coach Robby Priest felt that the Eagles’ 2016 season got off to a good start Monday evening as his squad held their first official practice session.
“It went good,” said Coach Priest. “Lightning ran us off at the end, but everything went great. We had about 70 players out there.”
Last year the Eagles posted a 10-3 record and reached the second round of the Class 2A play-offs.
The Eagles will scrimmage Class 4A power Scotland in the Battle of the Carolinas Wednesday, August 10th at Lumberton.
On August 12th the Eagles will host their own East Bladen Football Jamboree against West Columbus, Overhills, South Robeson and rival West Bladen.
