East Bladen’s unbeaten Lady Eagles (8-0) will play Thursday at 4 p.m. in the opening game of the Cumberland County Holiday Classic against host Gray’s Creek.

The Lady Bears who are coached by Bladen County native and former West Bladen Coach Rick Rhoda will bring a 4-4 record into the tournament that will continue daily through Saturday.

Four girls’ games will be played each day in the Classic with all the action at Gray’s Creek except for the tournament championship game that is scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday at Fayetteville State’s Capel Arena.

Thursday’s remaining opening round games at Gray’s Creek are:
5:30 p.m.: Cape Fear (2-4) vs. Union Pines (5-4)
7 p.m.: Terry Sanford (1-5) vs. Garner Magnet (7-3)
8:30 p.m.: Jack Britt (6-1) vs. Pine Forest (2-6)
