FAIRMONT- East Bladen’s girls finished third and West Bladen’s girls placed fourth in Thursday’s Three Rivers Conference track meet.

St. Pauls took first place in the girls meet with 113 points. Whiteville finished second with 63 points, followed by East Bladen with 43 points and West Bladen with 39 points. Fairmont was fifth with 38 points.

West Bladen’s 4×100 meter relay team won their event in 54.1 seconds.

East Bladen’s second-place finishes were posted by sophmore Lakendra Jones in the shot put with a heave of 25 feet, 8 inches and senior ShaHyra Hogan in the 100 meter hurdles in 19.4 seconds.

Claiming second-place points for West Bladen were senior Patience Parker in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.6 seconds, freshman Hannah Bobby in the 1600 meter run with a time of 7:49, sophmore Jamil Bostic in the triple jump with a leap of 26 feet, 6 inches and the 4×200 meter relay team (2:00).

East Bladen’s third-place finishers were freshman Lexus Smith in the shot put with a toss of 24 feet, 10 inches, Makia Johnson in both the 100 meter dash (12.9) and the 200 meter dash (27.9), sophmore Vena Metz in the 1600 meter run (7:58), the 4×400 meter relay team (5:37), the 4×800 meter relay team (13:47) and the 4×100 meter relay team (56.8).

Fourth place finishers for East Bladen were the 4×200 meter relay team (2:01.4). Lady Eagle junior Janae Wright claimed fifth place in the 100 meter hurdles (21.9).

West Bladen’s fourth-place finishers were Tarea Lucy in the 100 meter dash (13.1), and Parker in the 200 meter dash (28.4).

Fifth-place points for West Bladen were earned by sophmore Victory Crawford in the 400 meter dash (1:22) and Lucy in the 200 meter dash (28.7).
