ELIZABETHTOWN – Sophmore guard Lydia Bradshaw sparked North Brunswick to an early 18-6 lead en route to a 50-44 girls basketball victory over West Bladen in the East Bladen Holiday Classic.

Bradshaw threw in 10 of her game-high 17 points during the Lady Scorpion run in the opening quarter .

Senior Elizabeth Allbright rallied the Lady Knights with a basket and two free throws in the second quarter. Senior Chasitty Lacey buried a 3-point shot, and senior Patience Parker and junior Scjada Ellison tossed in a basket each as West Bladen pulled to within 24-18 at halftime.

Bradshaw dropped in a basket and a free throw, and Keyana Yeoman made a trio of free throws as the Lady Scorpions padded their lead to 38-28 in the third period. Lacey bombed in a pair of 3-point shots, and Parker popped in a basket for West in the quarter.

Allbright and senior Mikayla Winebarger fired in two baskets each as West Bladen battled back with a 16-12 final period surge. Sophmore Kasee Singletary pumped in a basket and a free throw, and junior Conner Brisson made two free throws.

Yeoman pumped in two baskets and a free throw in the final period, and Carlen Goodman added a basket and a free throw to help North pull out the victory. Yeoman finished with 10 points for the winners.

Lacey topped the West Bladen scoring list with 9 points, and Allbright totaled 8 points. Singletary finished with 6 points, and Brisson and Parker chipped in with 5 points each.

West Bladen will play Wallace-Rose Hill Thursday at 5 p.m. in their final game in the Classic.
