East Bladen’s Eagles will host Farmville Central Friday night in the opening round of the NCHSAA Class 2A Football Play-offs. The play-off pairings were finalized Saturday afternoon.

Coach Robby Priest’s Eagles (7-4) received the No. 3 seed in the MidEast Region, while Farmville Central (6-5) is the No. 6 seed in the East Region. The two teams played in the second round of the 2014 Class 2A play-offs and Farmville Central claimed a 40-35 victory.

The Jaguars finished fifth in the Eastern Plains Conference, but 4 of their losses were to No. 2 MidEast seed Greene Central, No. 2 East seed Ayden-Grifton, No. 6 MidEast seed Wilson Beddingfield and No. 4 Class 2AA seed SouthWest Edgecombe. Farmville Central’s other loss was to 3-8 Washington.

The Eagles finished third in the Four County Class 1A/2A Conference. Their  four losses were to Class 2AA No. 1 Mid-East seed Clinton, Class 2A No. 1 Mid-East seed South Columbus, No. 2 Class 1AA East seed Wallace-Rose Hill and No. 5 Class 4AA East seed Wilmington Laney.

An East Bladen victory would send the Eagles into a second-round game against the winner of the game between Ayden Grifton and Red Springs.
