East Bladen will host a Girls Basketball Jamboree on Tuesday, beginning at 4:15 with the Eagle Jayvee girls in the auxilary gym. The East Bladen varsity girls will begin play in the scrimmage at 5 p.m. in the main gym. Admission is $5.00.
The strong field includes Coach Patty Evers’ Lady Eagles who finished 26-1 a year ago and only lost 49-42 to eventual state runner-up Kinston; Class 4-A Lumberton (17-7 last year; Class 4-A E. E. Smith (15-7 last year); Class 4-A Wilmington Ashley (17-9 last year); East Columbus (22-3 and a Class 1-A sectional finalist last year) and Class 2-A North Brunswick (10-13 last season).

Main Gym: North Brunswick vs East Bladen 6:30
Aux: East Columbus vs Lumberton
Main Gym: Smith vs East Bladen 7:15
Aux: Ashley vs Lumberton
The teams will play two halves of 18 minutes each with a running clock. There will be a 4-minute halftime and 5 minutes between games. The clock will only stop for time-outs and there will be one time-out per half.
