LUMBERTON — The high school version of Monday Night Football comes to Robeson County this week as the fifth annual Battle of the Carolinas will be played at Lumberton’s Alton Brooks Stadium.
Coach Robby Priest’s East Bladen Eagles will be in action in the second game of the evening at 6 p.m. against Purnell Swett. The event kicks off at 5 p.m. with Fairmont taking on border rival Lake View, SC.
Red Springs and Latta, SC will face off in the 7 p.m. game. For the third year in a row, Scotland will be matched against Dillon, SC at 8 p.m. in a battle of traditional powers. The host Lumberton Pirates close out the night’s schedule with a 9 p.m. game against Marion, SC.
Tickets are $7 at the gate.
