Coach Jay Raynor has announced the schedule for this summer’s East Bladen soccer camps.
The first two camps will be titled Striker School & Goal Keeper Academy. These camps are for players from Grade 5 thru Grade 12. The cost is $85 per camper. The first 3-night camp will be offered on June 7-9 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. each night. The second session will on June 21-23 also from 6-7:30 each night.
Striker School is a training program for Strikers to improve their technical skills and tactical understanding while developing proper training habits. Campers will develop skills through training as well as playing games. The Strikers will combine with the Goal Keeper Academy the last half of the camp to put their finishing skills to the test.
The Goal Keeper Academy will be offered alongside Striker School and is devoted to refining the technical proficiency, tactical awareness, psychological approach and physical ability of goalkeepers, specifically enhanced to meet the needs of youth goalkeepers. Beginners will master all the components needed to succeed, and intermediate students will refine their skills in a more demanding structure. Each day will have small-sided games and tournaments.
The East Bladen Soccer Skills Camp will be offered from June 27 thru June 30 from 9 a.m. until 12 noon each day. It is constructed for grades K-9 and the cost is $100 per camper.
The EB Soccer Skills Camp focuses on the introduction and mastery of skill in a fun learning environment. This is achieved through maximum ball contacts, expert coaching, skills challenges and daily homework assignments. Through the camp structure and connection to the professional game, an environment is created that keeps players invested in their own development long after the camp concludes. Each day focuses on a different topic. Players are assigned to a group based on age and ability levels. Each day will have small-sided games and tournaments.
“The East Way” Camp is new for 2016 and will be offered from July 5 thru July 8 from 9 a.m. until 12 noon each day. It is for grades 5-12 and the cost is $140 per camper.
“The East Way” Camp is for the medium to advanced player who is in search of an advanced level of training and playing. The camp gives the camper an insight into how things are done in regards to the soccer program at East Bladen High. The camp will involve classroom sessions as well as field sessions. Campers will learn the philosophy of the soccer program as well as how the high school team trains and plays. Topics will include nutrition, systems of play, set pieces and most importantly what it means to be a good role model. This is a specials camp and those campers who attend will gain valuable insight that will help them excel on and off the field. Each day will have small-sided games and tournaments.
All campers in each camp will receive a t-shirt for attending camp. Discounts will be applied for families with multiple campers or for individuals attending more than one camp. All checks should be made payable to East Bladen Soccer.
