East Bladen is seeded 30th and is scheduled to play at No. 3 Manteo on Monday in the opening round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association 2-A boys’ soccer playoffs.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 5 p.m. at Manteo High School. Admission is $7.

The Eagles are 8-9 overall and finished fourth in the Southeastern Athletic Conference with a 4-6 record. East Bladen scored a key 5-2 win against 19th seeded St. Pauls on Wednesday.

East Bladen was ranked No. 28 in the final Ratings Percentage Index released Friday morning, but slotted at the 30th seed among the 32 teams that qualified for the playoffs.

Manteo is the top-seeded 2-A team from the Northeastern Coastal 3-A/2-A Conference. The Redskins are 13-2-3 overall and went 9-1-2 in conference play. Manteo is the No. 3 seed for the 2-A playoffs. First Flight, a 3-A school, won the Northeastern Coastal title with an 11-0-1 record and are 12-2-2 overall.

The winner of Monday’s game will play the winner between No. 14 Wallace-Rose Hill and St. Pauls on Thursday.

Malcolm Bolden leads the East Bladen offense with 31 goals and 10 assists. Jacob Nixon has six goals. In net, Lee Barnes has a 2.346 goals against average in 17 games. The Eagles have scored 45 goals and allowed 45 this season.

For Manteo, which has scored 53 goals, Amyas Kenyon leads with 11 goals and Oscar Rivera has 8. The Redskins have allowed only 10 goals and recorded 10 shutouts this season.

Other Southeastern Athletic Conference teams to qualify for the playoffs are:

• No. 4 Clinton, while will host No. 29 East Duplin.

• No. 18 Red Springs, which will play at No. 15 North Johnston.

• No. 22 Midway, which will play at No. 11 East Carteret
