East Bladen will host Graham and West Bladen will play at Kinston in the first round of the state 2-A football playoffs in pairings announced Saturday afternoon by the N.C. High School Athletic Association.

First-round games are scheduled Friday.

For seeding purposes, a school is allowed to drop a non-conference loss if it played 11 games.

East Bladen is seeded No. 7 in the 2-A East bracket. The Eagles went 9-2 overall, but did not lose a non-conference game and has an 8-2 record for seeding purposes. Graham, the No. 10 seed, is 4-7 overall, 4-6 for seeding. The winner of the East Bladen-Graham game will play the winner of the SouthWest Edgecombe-Farmville Central game.

West Bladen is seeded No. 16 in the 2-A East bracket. The Knights, who had to forfeit their season-opening win against South Robeson because of playing an ineligible player, has a 5-6 record overall, 5-5 for seeding. Kinston is the top seed in the East and is unbeaten in 11 games. The winner of the West Bladen-Kinston game will play the winner of the Edenton Holmes-Ayden-Grifton game.
