RED SPRINGS – East Bladen senior A. J. Smith won the Eagles opening cross country meet of the season Monday finishing with a time of 19:06. Sophomore Cate DeVane finished second in the girls meet for the Lady Eagles with a time of 26:08.
East Bladen will travel to Luther Britt Park in Lumberton Friday at 4 p.m. for their next meet that will be hosted by Fairmont.
